The circular saw shaft is surrounded by a large cast iron housing. With double bearing mount, ensure the best anti-vibration. The power transmission from the motor to the saw blade is optimized through the use of a Poly-V belt.
The “Dado cutter” can also be used with the Felder K940s sliding table saw. Specially developed by Felder, the cutter simply melts the wood. The large size and performance allows cutting from ¼“–¾“ (6.3–19.5 mm).
With the “Power-Drive” package, customers will be able to precisely set both the blade height and angle electronically with a single turn of the control switch. In addition, the height and angle of the saw blade are clearly displayed through the LED display.
For the operation of the scoring device, there are two versions: Classic or Automatic. Classic: The scoring blade height and side settings are adjusted manually from the top of the sawing components assembly board. Automatic: Electric scoring saw blade height adjustment is made easy with a switch. When the scoring device is turned on, the scoring blade will automatically lift to the preset position. When the main blade is turned off, the scoring blade will automatically sink under the table. This is considered the top utility when using the Felder K940s sliding table saw!
The continuously developed linear guide system from Felder has been surprising carpenters since 1990. The high-quality “X-Roll” format slide guide technology is backed by a 10-year warranty from Felder. Delivers amazingly smooth operation, completely maintenance-free. The “x” design of the position of the roller bearings ensures that they move smoothly along hardened guides.
On request, Felder can equip the “900 series” with trigger buttons for main and scoring blades located directly on the slide for convenience.
Felder overhead saw guards ensure the highest operating safety and maximum flexibility when handling large workpieces: Felder’s top saw guard can be easily repositioned and fixed in place where the saw can be used whenever needed.
The 102” (2600 mm) telescopic cross-section fence can be easily adjusted from 90° to 45°. The bevel scale on the kickstand allows precise adjustment. On request, we will install the kickstand with a precise chamfer positioning system for fast reproducible precise positioning of chamfers. The large cross-section fence posts are constructed so that a small blade on the stopper fits perfectly into the machined groove on the fence. This keeps the stop firmly in place for both straight and bevel cuts. As required: digital cross-sectional stops with repeatability accuracy to 0.001” with large LED display.
No reading errors due to scales and vernier. No time-wasting with arduous approximations of angle values. The advantage of the Felder degree index is that the stop is set and fixed without losing time or making reading errors. Highly precise index positions allow for the accurate production of polygons, e.g. 5.625º (32 sided), 11.25º (16 sided), 22.5º (8 sided). In addition, index positions at 15º, 20º, 25º, 30º, 35º, 40º and 45º can be used when working in slide to cut or push to cut mode. Every index position is equipped with a length compensator. The highly precise Felder degree index system is adjusted at the factory. This cost-effective indexing system integrates well into machine design and will increase workshop productivity.
31″ (800 mm) tear capacity comes standard with an option to upgrade to 49″ (1250 mm) tear capacity. The rip scale is easy to read and is perfectly integrated into the body. The aluminum tear barrier can be adjusted along its shaft to improve user comfort and safety when making repeated cuts. The barrier is easily and smoothly adjustable with a one-handed clamping mechanism. Fine-tuning mechanism for precise measurements.
Intuitive dashboard: the electric motor positioning barrier runs on a maintenance-free linear guide system with a ball bearing bush that moves quickly and accurately within one tenth of a millimeter of the entered cutting width. The rip fence can be tilted away at any point along the full rip length and guarantees perfect cuts with a maximum width of 1250 mm. The operator panel provides the operator with all information regarding the tear barrier in real time. Operators can quickly and easily enter required values into the control panel, saving time and increasing productivity.
Electronic precision! The patented double miter gauge from Felder allows for miter cuts on pieces of differing widths and at any angle. Really easy to use: Simply enter the desired angle as well as the widths of your work pieces on the keyboard. Immediately, you will receive the settings and can set the electronic double miter gauge accordingly. The fence stop on the fence can be adjusted up to 53” with the scale. Depending on the angles set, the length compensated vernier scale will allow the operator to set the correct work piece length when making corner cuts.
